Does this Crosshair give you a mesurable advantage over other players? Personally, I wouldn't do it, but I can understand why you'd like it especially if you want custom crosshairs with more outline/visually easier to see. Now, no guarantees, but without changing the game, not providing inputs automatically/scripted/etc, you are probably fairly safe. I would *hope* what you describe isn't bannable, it would be exceptionally silly to be banned for a simple overlay image. There are monitors that also have crosshairs built into the OSD, it would be exceptionally hard to ban for that. P.S.: If you dont know, im not trying to ask you, trying to ask some others. Maybe finding out how they do it would help you in your dot quest How do i do that. Don't ask me how, I've never done it, but there are several team chat programs that do it (they display stuff as an overlay on your game screen).
I believe the only truly effective method is to inject your 'application' into memory. This needs to be set in the Configure >Settings >Overlay >Load.īecause like most FPS games, they have the 'on top' attribute set as well and will display over the top of your gif. Step 7): You will need the custom overlay settings here. Step 6): Set the crosshair as your avatar, this can be done by going to Self >Change Avatar inside mumble.
